How our portable dewpoint hygrometers work

Our portable dewpoint hygrometers are invaluable for measuring trace moisture in various applications. Suitable for rapid spot-check measurements of dewpoint or trace moisture content, they respond quickly to changes in trace moisture, whether measuring from dry to wet or wet to dry.
Designed for field use, our portable hygrometers are robust, lightweight, and easy to handle. They are suitable for industrial applications such as compressed air, natural gas, semiconductor manufacturing, power generation, and pharmaceuticals.

Each of our portable dewpoint hygrometers combines two main features to ensure a rapid response: the desiccant head assembly and the AutoCal span correction function.

The desiccant head assembly allows the dewpoint sensor to remain dry between tests by isolating the desiccant and sensor from atmospheric air. This rapidly brings all surfaces and voids into equilibrium, allowing operators to take multiple trace moisture measurements daily and achieve accurate, reliable results.

The AutoCal span correction allows the operator to easily make routine span checks of the dewpoint sensor and corrections to balance the sensor and the instrument, and correct for any deviation. This ensures optimal accuracy between laboratory calibrations, resulting in less downtime and immediate verification of the dewpoint system.
